Forest Springs sits nestled in the Gresham Buttes. On 3 acres with a parkland setting, we sit at the base of more than 2000 acres of forested open space. The English Cottage Home perched on a bluff well removed from the street was built in 1907. Originally part of the 1885 Land Grant to The Heiney Family, the Bed and Breakfast is now on the Local Gresham Historic Registry. Craftsman touches abound and all the common rooms are generous in size and comfort. In remodeling and decorating, we have honored the house's original nature while not forgetting modern life's comforts and convenience. All of our furnishings reflect the home's heyday from the twenties though the fifties. We have exceptional pieces of American Pottery and much of our furniture was imported from Paris and Barcelona. The grounds are always a work in progress. Adding to the abundance of Cedar, Fir, Chestnut and native maples, we have added 15,000 daffodils, 60 rose bushes, and 30 Miniature Japanese Maples. The restoration of the original terraced gardens is well underway and there is almost always something in bloom.
To the east and south are rolling hills, farm lands, and the Persimmon Country Club and Golf Course. To the west a few miles sits the wonderfully livable city of Portland. Two miles to the north sits Historic Gresham (Oregon's 4th largest city). The Columbia Gorge, Historic Scenic Highway, the world famous Multnomah Falls, and Mount Hood are all just a quick car ride away. The Springwater Trail Corridor , a mile up the road, boasts a paved hiking and biking trail that winds its way to the Willamette River. We sit in heart of all that the Great North West has to offer.
On our outdoor Veranda and Patio, we can host Weddings and Events up to 100 persons. In the common area downstairs, we can accommodate small Teas, Luncheons, and Breakfast meetings for up to 30 persons.
In our lovely dining room, cast your eyes on the Southern Buttes and enjoy a great full course breakfast and some of the West's best coffee.
Whether your visit to the Northwest is for business, a romantic get away, a family reunion, or something as simple as a peaceful vacation, we are here to make your stay as memorable as possible.

Fort Lewis is a vast 3200 acre plantation first carved from the wilderness in the 1750's. At the heart of it all sits the Lodge, nestled in a scenic river valley at the foot of Shenandoah Mountain. Nearby are the soothing waters of Virginia's historic Warm and Hot Springs. Here you will find a rare combination of unpretentious elegance, superb food and unique lodging choices where every room has a view.
Like most country inns and bed and breakfasts we trade in a change of pace, romance, and exceptional fare. But over the years we’ve come to understand that Fort Lewis has an asset that few others have. Our wilderness - the mountains, forests, fields and streams and all the creatures that call this their home.
Evenings are highlighted by farm fresh American style cuisine served nightly in the restored 1850’s Lewis Gristmill. Outdoor activities abound with miles of river trout and bass fishing, a classic swimming hole, extensive hiking trails, mountain biking, and magnificent vistas.
